It took quite a bit of time, but I made it home. My parents were quite surprised to see me back. As was Merdigan. As far as I could tell, time had not treated him well. He had grown up, so to speak, to be the town drunk.

I think I will hang around for a little while. My parents seem to like that I am home, and I’d like to make them happy.
